Scope and Importance
Scope:
Geography is a genuinely broad field that connects with many fields of social science. It studies the various lands and habitats on our globe as well as how people interact with the land they live in. We can explore a wide range of opportunities in the public and private sectors by pursuing a degree in geography.
Importance:
- To introduce the students to the basics of atmospheric phenomena, global climate systems and climate change is the objective of the course.
- To learn the location of places and the physical and cultural characteristics of those places in order to function more effectively.
- To understand how the planet’s resources should be used and to appreciate Earth as the homeland of mankind.

- To understand and explain land cover, land use, and geospatial information to answer fundamental questions of local and global importance to make the cumulative knowledge serve mankind and Nature.
